    cool link, thanks! I followed a link from one of her pics to www.socknitters.com too, lotsa patterns and skill levels there too.

    If you search here at FV ...use knit sock patterns as your keywords, i remember lots of sock patterns being posted awhile back. contain your search to just the Needle arts forums, and you'll be sure to find some. I know I posted one I came up with awhile back too.

    Thanks, Missy. Are they EASY patterns?

    Does anybody understand THESE instructions? In particular, what's SKP

    Slip 1, knit 21 stitches, SKP, k1, turn.

    Here's an interesting sock calculator:

    http://www.princeton.edu/~ezb/sockform.html

    You enter the yarn, needle size, guage, and ankle measurement. It then generates a PATTERN for you!!!! Great things coming out of higher education, eh?

    is SKP = skip? I haven't a clue! Dee would be the one to ask about that one.

    I think the patterns are moderate to easy. It helps me to read and re read them, after that they generally make better sense.

    SKP = Slip, Knit, Pass

    SKP (occasionally skpo)
    "Slip, Knit, Pass." Slip a stitch, knit the next stitch, pass the slipped stitch over the knit one

    The same as: sl1, k1, psso
