Default The fruit of my crocheting labor

I am a Chemoangel and send cards to a woman receiving chemotherapy. For Christmas, I crocheted a prayer shawl for her. I also shared my email address with her so she could send me hers - I wanted to be able to email her cards and encouragement as well.

Anyway, I got an email yesterday telling me she got her shawl and was wearing it as she typed. She told me it made her feel loved and protected and cared for. I cannot tell you what a blessing it was to me to know something I made with my hands is providing a measure of comfort to someone in such a difficult situation.

That was very sweet of you Cheryl. I know when I was getting chemo I was always freezing and it was in the summer. Bet she loves not only the thought of the prayer shawl, but the shawl itself for warmth.
