Default I finished my first sock!

It's been at the "toe" part for a week now, but I just haven't had the time this week to devote to sitting w/ the laptop and just doing it. I just finished it!

    Now on to sock #2

    I did, and it was

At first I was like "whaaa?? you want me to do what with the yarn needle???". But after I started chanting in my head knit, purl, purl, knit it was easier. And it looks so neat! You would never know there's a seam there! I am so in awe

I can't wait to do it with sock yarn. This one is in nylon/acrylic, it's soft & comfy but it's also pretty thick & more like a slipper. I did it on size 7dpns.

Wow, Heather, I wish you could come HERE and show me the Kitchener. I'm holding off on re-doing mine until I have some total peace and quiet.

I am a loose knitter, so I tried with sock yarn & size 3 needles. Too loose. Went to size 1. acceptable, but I'll be trying sz 0 for my next pair.

    Great job Heather!

I tried my first pair the other night, after 2 hours of extreme frustration I gave up and probably won't try again any time soon!

Dee, the hardest part for me was getting it started on 3 needles. Once I had a few rows on there, it held together nicely and I didn't feel like I needed to be an octopus to hold on to all of them at once lol.

I wish I could too! That's what I did though, I waited until the boys went to bed (the girls will leave me be, the boys play LOUD lol) and sat down and did it. It only took a minute, literally, after I read the instructions through then went back and actually did it. It's not as intimidating as the pictures make it look. It's like knitting with the tapestry needle.
