Oh my, the realization that I am not good at this. LOL
I have been practicing my basic stitches. I am having a hard time getting my tension where I want it. Not to mention that I mess up when turning etc. LOL
Anyway, as an inspiration to anyone wanting to learn....here is my humble beginnings.
I plan to keep practicing and working my way up to something that is more picture post worthy. LOL
I figure I need to start somewhere and maybe posting my progress will keep me motivated.
Gosh knows it isn't to brag. *gag* It's so bad. LMAO

Sara, you have more courage than me. I tried crocheting once and I'd NEVER show it. I think your doing great and I love the colors in the wood. Keep it up!
So when I say I was trying to make a circle, will you admit it's bad? lmao
Just kidding.
Thanks guys. I try. Will keep working this week and try to post an update.

Your're doing great Sara! I learned to crochet last year. My friend showed me how and in 30 min. I was on a roll. I made 3 lap crochet covers and one crocheted pillow top. I have only used the Q-hook on all of these. I want to learn to use the smaller hooks like you did. Keep posting. We won't laugh! (except when you said it is supposed to be a circle, lol).
hang in there ! you are doing good. if you get the peaches and cream thread and do the same thing you are doing, you can make a dish rag. that is the only ones we use . they are the greatest and dont take long at all to make.!
I have a scarf to post a pic of later. LOL
That's all I have done so far. I am thinking about getting a video I saw on amazon. The problem is this, I don't know if I am creating my own special stitches or if I am doing the basic stitches properly. LMAO.
I would do fine and be on a roll, if I knew for sure what I was doing was right.
Hoping when my mom comes to visit, she'll set me straight. She is incredible at crocheting.
Thanks for the encouragement everyone. hehe

Sara, here is a wonderful, wonderful site that Voodoit gave us yesterday on the Plastic Canvas Fans thread. It is so wonderful. Did I tell you how wonderful it is? LOL
Go to the bottom of the main page and click on Crochet.
