Can't even cast on!!!!!
OMG!!! I can't even igure out how to cast on!!! I thought I did what the book said, but it didn't work!!!! Lots of swearing going on here tonight!!!!!

I couldn't follow from a book either. Once I found http://www.knittinghelp.com and watched their videos it just clicked!

Your knitting is great. Maybe if you say not too long ago, I'll have newfound inspiration.
I'm not very good at crochet and worse at knitting. lol
I agree that books are tough sometimes.

I have 3 rows done, not that they are all even tension, but it doesn't look too bad. I'm doing a dishcloth, in just the knit stitch, so no one will see it but me!

My mil tried to teach me and I was horrible and I abandoned the project. Maybe I will try again. Good for you for trying.

OH Heather - there was indeed lots of swearing last night! My dh said "Why do you do it if you are getting upset?" He'll never understand!
