Default I need a pattern for...

A afghan. A twin size one. DB is in the Army, and lives in the barracks, so I want to make him a twin size afghan for Christmas.

I want it to be black and grey, with a little red thrown in.

I was thinking granny squares, but if it fits the mold I dont care if it is or not. Does anyone have any patterns for something manly like that?

    tia!

http://www.yarncat.com/RippleLapghan.html I like to do ripples, so this one in your colors would be my first choice.

thanks ladies! I found this one in a magazine I got, do you think it would work in the colors Ive chosen? Also, would it look okay if I did black and white squares, and the inside border in dark grey and the outside border in black?
