Cool My October projects (picture heavy)

I made hats for the boys (pattern here):

And wrist warmers for the boys, personal pattern:

Made a scarf for my niece (pattern from One Skein):

And finished my Whitby Socks (pattern from Knitting on the Road):

I also made a tiny little sock (just for kicks) freebie from The Loopy Ewe:

Now I'm working on a shawl for MIL (pattern here)

A scarf for FIL (pattern here)

A scarf for dh (same pattern as above)

And Dd's Slytherin Knee Socks that I couldn't take a picture of because she was up and about. I also think I'm going to frog them back a bit. I'm just winging it & making up the pattern as I go along so it's not as quick as it would be if I had found a ready-made pattern to use.

The pink scarf u made for your niece, what yarn did u use? It looks really thick. All i have is normal thinner acrylic yarn. I love everything u make Heather. looks really good plus all done for xmas gifts. wtg on the savings. Is that some of the yarn u got in bulk at the yard sales this year?

Tracy, I don't sell my stuff. Most people wouldn't pay *half* of what the yarn costs me much less for my time & effort.

Missy, the hats are two separate hats. My boys like their stuff to be the same but different so one got a red hat w/ blue stripes & one got a blue hat with red stripes. Notice the wrist warmers are the same way lol.

Charlene, the pink scarf was done with Crystal Palace Fjord in "Rose Petal" colorway. None of the yarn above was bought during that deal a while back. Although the wrist warmers yarn was a good deal at $1 a BIG skein. It's Bernat Chunky.

Wow! Fantastic work. How long does it take you to do a project like that?

Which one? The hats took a 3-4 hours each. The wrist warmers even less time than that. I did both hats & wrist warmers over one weekend day. The scarf I took with me to classes so it took me about 2-3 weeks. Same with the socks. The itty bitty sock only took a little over an hour.

Heather after i finished my multi 3 skien scarf Im looking for another simple pattern but using the black, and white normal acrylic. I find it thinner and looked onto the internet for patterns like k1 p1, whatever would you use for something with 2 yarns that would like nice.

You are so talented with the needles. I wish I could knit but would probably drop stitches left and right. I have done a little bit of basic crocheting.
