    Question Ravelry.com?

    Anyone a member?

If so, post your user name. I'm Oreokoi there. If there are enough of us, maybe we can set up a FV group

Ravelry.com is a knitting/crochet site. It's more than just message boards. They have a yarn database, a pattern database, etc. It's WONDERFUL! Say you have this yarn but you don't know what to make with it or you want to see how it knits up, look up the yarn to see what others have made with it.

Same with patterns, say you want to knit a pattern but want to see how it looks in solid vs varigated or striped yarn...look it up.

You can post pictures of your yarn stash, pictures of your works in progress, finished projects, even a list of projects that you want to make.

Right now it's a beta site, meaning it's not full on open to the public. But sign up and they send you an invite. It's not as clique as it sounds. They mainly want to make sure the site is up and working before they make it open to the public and to make sure the servers can handle to load of people who want in.

The wait isn't too bad now. I had a friend who submitted less than a month ago and she just got her invite.

By the way, I'm YankeeMom over there too & I added you to my friends Michelle

I've been on the waiting list for a while, like about 4 months.

That sounds too long Have you checked here:

    http://www.ravelry.com/antsy

It should tell you where you are on the waiting list. Maybe your invite got sent to a junk/bulk folder?

Also, the invite doesn't come from "ravelry.com". It comes from one of the creators of the site, I think. So is it possible that you didn't recognize her name, and you deleted it? I do that sometimes

Yankeemom, thanks for the explanation. I am still trying to find my way around there. I'll add you to my friends list too

Julie, that does sound too long. One of my professors signed up in September and she got in right before Thanksgiving. And it's not something they choose who to let it, it's done in order. So if you signed up four months ago, you should have gotten in already. I think you can check the link Michelle posted and have the invite resent. The email will come from "frecklegirl" and the message title will be something like "frecklegirl has sent you an invite". It's rather generic. I almost spammed mine when it came in my inbox.
