Default Crocheters, what do you have planned for 2008?

I plan on making a couple of afghans, a couple of sweaters and tanks for dd, a tank or two for myself.

I hope to learn how to make anything other than a square or rectangle.

I'd LOVE to learn how to make a hat.

I plan on making an Old Glory afghan. It is made like the American Flag. I have the yarn for it, I just need to get on the ball and get it started so that I can finish it sometime in '08.

I always feel like making an afghan in the middle of winter so that will probably be my first project - which one I'm not sure!

Ive started a rug. It's easy.

    ch 7
    turn
starting in *4th st fr hook double crochet to end. counting ch 3 as one you'll have 5 dcs*
turn, ch 3, rep from * to* until this is a few (4 or so) yds long
    bind off.

    repeat this two more times.

fold each strip in half the long way and braid three strips together.

on a flat surface, wind it tight into the form of an oval rug, using a needle and yarn to sew it tightly in hidden sts.

sounds easy enough in my head. hope it works out the way i am imagining it.

Well as I have the baby bug I will be crocheting lots of baby rugs and assorted bits. It's summer here so probably not too much happening for the minute, but when we find out if it's a boy or girl I'll be untoppable (by that time the weather would be cooling down).

I'm thinking of using up the stash I have and making things to sell on Etsy. I leaning towards baby stuff because I have little bits of this and that plus completing something quickly is like instand gratification.

Not crochet but I really want to figure out knitting one of these days.
