Thanks y'all. I started them (two at a time on one circular needle, toe up) the first week of November (the 3rd or 4th). It took about 6 weeks but it was not nearly non-stop knitting on them. I only worked about 1-2 hours a week on them. And there were a few weeks where I just couldn't bring myself to even pick them up. Partly because I could only do them after dd was in bed (I was in school when she was in school and these weren't exactly portable) but mostly because they were such a pain in the arse!! It's straight stockinette stitch *snore* plus they are manually striped, so I was detangling four balls of yarn every other row. It was slow going for sure. Plus it didn't help that I started & finished at least a dozen projects at the same time I was working on these

I hope I never have to make socks this long again. If my younger daughter asks for a pair after seeing her sister's...I may have to cry lol.
Seriously, no.
I screw up lots of things
I just don't take pictures of the screw-ups LOL!
