    Default crocheted a winter hat

    yesterday I made ahat from bernat pattern and yarn I got from Walmart for 11 year old son. he seen the hat and wanted in this color but i made extra length on the back to cover his neck. he love's it.

    I bought 2 skeins of yarn 450grams each. So ther's almost 1/2 left on forst one left.
    I'm giving the rest this weekend to MIl to make mittens this weekend to match for him.

    Oh I made one just like that. Your right you do need to add more towards the back of the neck. Well the colors I used where a camo of black,grey and white and for a accent border I used red. He said it was too girly??? He is also 11. My 9 yr old wants a green camo with orange as the contrast. We will see how those colors come out.

    I seen the green camo with orange. I think it would look nice. he liked the bright green because it matched his green on his skidoo suit.
