spray starch uses
so i'm making this cute little crocheted box (like a trinket box).
i'm wondering, would using spray starch give it a "stiffness" that i'm looking for?
i'm using a small needle and the stitches are somewhat tight (no so much so it's hard to crochet), and it keeps its shape well as it is.
i was just wondering if spray starch would give it a little extra something. or if you'd have another idea instead.
thanks

A few years back I found some small doiley type crochet hats at a garage sale. I wanted them to stiffen up so that I could hang them on the wall and they would hold their shape and not just dangle all droopy.
I bought some liquid starch totally satruated them in it, shaped them with some support until they dried completely. They were stiff as boards so if thats what you want. Thats the way I did it.Last edited by momtoadiva; 02-14-2008 at 12:34 AM.
