    Default embroidery

i havent embroidered in years, so i'm really rusty.
i see that you can buy the blank sheets, but how do you embroider a patter on either those sheets or let's say you want to do something else, like pillowcases, towels, etc.?

    thanks

Hey...I'm not exactly sure what you're asking...

    I'll give it a go and if I don't answer your question...holler!

I usually use iron on patters...either pre-made ones (sublimestitching.com is my favorite) or I buy iron on transfer paper and trace my designs onto that. (i did some superhero dishtowels that way). For sheets and pillowcases, I usually just wash, dry and iron them before I put my pattern on. If you are gonna stitch on t-shirts or another stretchy material, you'll need some sort of backer.

Is that kinda what you were asking?

    Glad to help...

I got tracing paper and iron on pencils to do the superheros. It was way easy. I just found a pic with relatively simple lines by searching google and then printed and traced it.

The other thing to do if you are ironing on patterns...you need to use a board to something really hard...not on ironing board. I use a leftover piece of MDF board from one of my fiance's projects. And remember not to use the steam setting on your iron.

    Good luck...and keep us posted!
