I have one Diana. It is a Bond brand. I have no clue how to use it. It was my MIL'S. It looks brand new and still in the box with a price tag of $185.00 on it. She bought a lot of stuff she didn't use.
Maybe you could help me figure out what kind it is. I went online and tried to do a search and none of the ones described sounded like mine. I would love to know how to use it. I don't know how to knit but I have the basic instructions and I did read that you have to know a little knitting to use it.
Would you be able to help me figure out how to get started using it?
Sure Dolphin, that one is manufactured in England. Does it just say Bond on the box or "Incredible Sweater Machine" like mine does? If it does, that one is very easy to use.
I'll go look for some websites and take mine out today and write you up a step by step. (I don't want to forget anything for you). Do you have some 4 ply yarn to start with?
I'l pm you when I get the info all together.

Dolphin, It will take me a couple of days to put together. I'll take pictures too so you can see what to do. I'm hoping yours is about the same as mine.

LOL Chelle! You have to ask Diana about that. I just inherited mine and have never seen or heard of one before. I don't know what they cost now-a-days. The box mine is in looks pretty old but the machine looks to be in great shape.
Diana that's ok. I couldn't go out to the shed tonight and see what kind it was cause it got dark here too fast. I hate that!
Lol, I understand Dolphin. I keep wanting to get some crafts out of our shed too, but by the time I remember it's too dark here too. The shed is in the side yard and we have racoons and cyote's here.
When you get a chance, check the box, you may have a video. If you have one, it is great! shows you everything step-by-step.
Chele, It's very easy and makes you look like a master knitter. As to the price, it would depend on how much use you would get out of it. Once you get the hang of it, you can make a childs sweater in about 3 hours, an adult sweater in 4-5 hours and an afghan in a day or two, depending on how much time you have. These are one or two colors and nothing too fancy in the stitches. But you can also do cables, intarsia (knit a design into the item, this takes practice and more time) and lace designs.
Here is a search I did to give you an idea of the prices: http://www.att.net/cgi-bin/websearch...s+bond&cmd=qry
I have seen ad's for the "incredible sweater machine" and I am curious for those of you who have one (and use it ). Does it work really well? I am dying to get one!
I like mine. When I am determined to get one done I can get a sweater done in three days. And there are other things that you can do on it too, like afghans, pillows, scarves, etc etc etc. once you get the hang of it, it's fun and easy to use.
