    Will youngest boomers go broke?

They're raiding 401(k)s, falling behind on monthly payments and even going without medical care in efforts to keep afloat financially, the AARP warns.

It would make sense that the younger boomers are tapping into their retirement to stay a float, since those in behind them in my generation aren't even able to save for retirement yet, because of the costs of just living.

What years do the "baby boomers" cover? I was born in '57...am I one?
On 11-22-85 I married the man of my dreams.
On 01-13-89 I gave birth to the love of my life.

Certainly not making any blanket statement, but my mom was born in '57, too, and she's in wayyyy over her head right now. It's depressing but, I've resigned myself to the fact that eventually it will be *me* paying for her "have to have it and I'll borrow to get it" lifestyle 'cause she has zero retirement.

    Wow...interesting article... And scary. :surprise:

I don't know how our country/society will withstand that kind of financial blow in regards to unprepared retirees.
