Default FDA Reports 1 death per month related to Gardasil

    http://www.healthfreedom.net/index.p...&id=475&Itemid

The American Association for Health Freedom (AAHF) believes that the right of the consumer to choose and the practitioner to practice relates to all health care choices, including vaccination. AAHF is an advocate for opt-in (as opposed to mandatory) policies for vaccines, particularly the HPV vaccine.

As the news article below details, Gardasil, the vaccine created and marketed by Merck, is causing one death per month and numerous, serious reactions according to a recent FDA report.

Thanks so much for posting this....I seem to remember a thread on this very board, questioning how anyone could not want to protect their daughter with this vaccination....maybe more people will want a longer study done before we use our daughters as guinea pigs for the drug companies-JMHO!

I still think I'd take my chances.

"The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2008, about 11,070 cases of invasive cervical cancer will be diagnosed in the United States. Some researchers estimate that non-invasive cervical cancer (carcinoma in situ) is about 4 times more common than invasive cervical cancer."

Well, put me with the group that wants more research before trying to force this on our kids.

I don't take cancer lightly, since I have had relatives die from it, but I do not feel enough research has been done with this vaccine, and the reactions that I have been hearing about is just confirming my feelings on it.

The web site you sent us to states that (bolded by me to make a point)
About 3,870 women will die from cervical cancer in the United States during 2008. Cervical cancer was once one of the most common causes of cancer death for American women. The cervical cancer death rate declined by 74% between 1955 and 1992. The main reason for this change is the increased use of the Pap test. This screening procedure can find changes in the cervix before cancer develops. It can also find early cervical cancer in its most curable stage. The death rate from cervical cancer continues to decline by nearly 4% a year.
Cervical cancer tends to occur in midlife. Most cases are found in women younger than 50. It rarely develops in women younger than 20. Many older women do not realize that the risk of developing cervical cancer is still present as they age. Almost 20% of women with cervical cancer are diagnosed when they are over 65. That is why it is important for older women to continue having regular Pap tests. See the section, "Can Cervical Cancer Be Prevented?" for more specific information on current American Cancer Society screening recommendations.
It's important to quote everything - instead of parts.
    This paints a different picture.

Cervical cancer rates are decreasing because of the PAP. NOT the vaccination.
The American Cancer Society doesn't mention that deaths from the vaccination are increasing and now are at least one per month - completely unnecessary deaths.
BTW: There has been no known deaths from cervical cancer in girls under age 20. (the age might even be higher- I just didn't want to open up that decade) Why are we doing this to our little girls?

Currently there is a recommendation that the age of the vaccinations start at age nine. What if that was your innocent nine year old that died for the month of August 2008. Because her mom thought she was doing the right thing. (Or worse, her state required it for entering into Middle School)

The gardisil is targeting vaccinating under age 20 females.
The most number of cases are women in midlife - which is not being targeted. And 20% over 65.

It is important to realize that the vaccine doesn’t protect against all cancer-causing types of HPV, so routine Pap tests are still necessary. One other benefit of the vaccine is that it protects against the 2 viruses that cause 90% of genital warts
I know this might seem really bad - and go ahead and flame me. (and this is NOT directed at brainyblonde) .... but people REALLY need to take responsibility for their own body and NOT rely on a magic pill (errr shot) to prevent unnatural things from happening.

While I realize and I sympathize that some women are going to get cervical cancer - and might die from it. Also some people are going to get lung cancer and might die from it.
Both are preventable by doing healthful things - that prevent cancer from striking. (not the forum for it here)

Control of your own health is in your own hands. You have the tools. Do not give up that right to some highly profitable drug company.

This is just a small example of what really happens at the FDA.

Oh boy! I'm gonna lose my job!

I am one that is not impressed with this vaccine. There have been over 8000 serious reactions to it since it was released in the U.S. that's not really much of an improvement over the Cervical cancer rate. Plus, there is no guarantee that it really will prevent cervical cancer. So these reactions may be for no positive long-term benefit.

I will not be subjecting my daughters to it.
