    Again, this is NOT the whole story! Yes, the tech can fill the prescription. The pharmacisits job is to confirm the prescription. This means....pick up the bottle and READ it, look at the paper (handwritten) RX, or the RX that came over the fax. It is the PHARMACIST'S job to make sure that RX is filled correctly and they are ultimately responsible for anything leaving that pharmacy and have to sign off on it (initials on the label) Also, on call-ins, a pharmacist has to take all call ins and write them out....NOT a tech. Yeah....Walgreens is a nightmare and that tech screwed up, but the blame lies directly on the pharmacist who signed off on it.
    As I mentioned on another post...there is a HUGE shortage of pharmacists!
