I didn't even know the boycott was going on.

The changes are horrible! Although I doubt the boycott made significant problems for ebay, it certainly made a statement and it is increasing members at other online auction sites.
Some New changes: Ebay lowered the insertion fee on lower dollar amount auctions. They made Gallery Picture free. They increased the finaly value fee to 8.75%! Yikes!
Sellers will no longer be able to give anything except "Positive" feedback. Paypal can and will hold your money for up to 21 days until or unless all of ebays new conditions are met.
So now when you sell something on ebay and use paypal for payment, you will be giving ebay and paypal atleast 11.25% of what you made on the sale and if they feel like it, they can hold your money for 21 days or even longer. They haven't yet figured out how they are going to 'release' a few dollars from your account so that you can pay for the shipping! Yep, even though paypal is holding your money, you still have to ship the item you sold! They ebay investors' will be receiving money market fund rates on your money while it is in suspension!
The new changes are ruining ebay. So sad...."Success on any major scale requires you to accept responsibity."

So they are basically doing the same thing they
do on half.com. When you sell something on
half.com you usually wait about 3 weeks to get
your money deposited. Oh, this is not good." May we never let the things we can’t have or don’t have or shouldn’t have spoil our enjoyment of the things we do have and can have. I didn't know about the boycott until Monday. And by then I had already placed 4 auctions on there to end this week. Needless to say, my auctions sucked. I barely made any money. and I'm not liking these new rules.

Me too. I just placed new auction on ebay to
help clean out my closets. I might as well
give the stuff to Goodwill.

~Urg. I was disappointed last year to see all the increases and these new ones will discourage me from selling anything on Ebay this year. I can't believe that we'll now make more money trading in our video games at our local store than selling them on Ebay. That stinks.~
