All I can say is a few years back they changed the rules on filing bankrupcy making it harder to get out of paying off debt.
This is good as it will save the ones of us who do pay our bills on time from having to pay increased prices for those who are deadbeats.
There are just as many deadbeats as there are sneaky credit card company games.
Don't use credit unless its an emergency and avoid all that mess. Even better to not buy anything on credit you can't afford to pay off at the end of the month and avoiding interest rates all together.

I never have problems with credit card fees. I pay my bill on time, pay it off monthly, don't max out my cards.I have great card rates. This is the easiest way to avoid excess fees.I do not have the worry of how I will get out of hot water. I don't get in it.

I agree. Pay on time. Pay off the balance each month and don't sign up for a card with an annual fee unless the benefits outweigh the amount of the fee. Maybe I"m just having a snarky day, but why should people "get out" of these fees--just don't get in them.
