Here in South Florida many veggie fields are not being replanted as usual. Many reasons seem to be floating around, the cost of fuel, the immigrant issuses and water problems and costs. Many fields have been bought up over the last five years for housing projects and their also are not being planted. So you can expect veggie prices to continue up.

Yes, this can be very scarry, especially when you see what is going on in other parts of the world over food. I still don't understand why there is so much building is going on or was, on fields that once were farms. What in the world do the top officials think we will eat? There are so many different reasons why there are food shortages, however it is hard to believe that no one in the powers to be knew this was coming.

They don't think - well more like all they think about is the Tax Revenue that will come into them once all those houses or stores get put up!
