Freezing Carrots - Help!
Do I need to blanche carrots before freezing them?
BEF: $$120/$1000

I don't if I just have a few I chopp them by hand and put into freezer bags, Some I slice for cooked carrots, If I have a lot of them I will chop in my electric chopper...they are fine chopped so I put into ice cube trays and freeze then put into ziplock bags after they freeze..I do onions that way too for soup stock

I would say yes you would have to blanche them to stop the growth of bacteria ...
