I need your best "cheapest" ideas for temporary labeling of glass jars. I store most of my freezables (sauce, stock, etc..) in glass canning jars and I need a cheap way to label them. Something that can easily be removed as I have a pretty brisk turnaround on that stuff. But something that will stay on in the freeze (or pantry).
My DH makes home brew and when he makes the labels, he has a saucer with some milk and dips the back of the label in the milk and then puts it on the bottle to dry. Then when he is done with that type of beer he soaks the bottle, when soaked comes right off. Hope this helps, candy
masking tape works great, but i also like using dry erase markers directly on the glass, or those grease pencils (China Marker, by Dixon is an alternative name) .
