I have to break up and vacuum seal 6 packages of meat I bought yesterday (reduced for quick sale). I also bought 3 gallons of milk for 99 cents each and put them in the freezer. THEN if I have the energy I am going to try to make the sweet potato chips.
I still feel very tired and run down today, but I am going to push on. Off to get on the treadmill (I really don't want to), then run a couple of errands, then meat, then dehydrate.Mary

I haven't had they dehydrator going yet this week. I've been busy with inventory and stuff so at least I've been productive...but I'm getting dehydrator ants in my pants...lol. I lined up my cans of tomato paste on the counter so I remember to start doing globs of them tonight.

After dropping my dd off to school I stopped and bought two bags of potatoes and decided to try them shredded. Wonder where I got that idea?? I only did one bag of them so far and that is about 8 trays worth. The trays are not loaded full I wanted to have them spread out a bit.

I didn't get anything done today. After I planted some things in the garden I went out and helping hubby put up new fencing. My house is a wreak, dirty dishes in the sink, we had leftovers for supper lol
the potatoes came out beautiful. The shredded ones came out in one big circle LMAO! I had to break it apart to store them LOL I really filled the trays up with them so that may be the problem. The cut ones look nice. I left the peel on ( we like them that way) and they look like one of the au gratin kits you get from Betty Crocker or something. Bet they'd be good with some cheese powder from Honeywell huh?

I decided to use my vacation days up by taking every other friday off during the summer...so here I am enjoying a beautiful day!
I ended up going to SAMs and getting 10 pounds of frozen strawberries. About 8 are in the dehydrator right now.
I'm also busy watching the Chicken A La King recipe from the Dehydrator Bible rehydrate...can't wait to eat!

Still feeling a little tired and hubby is home today. BUT I did manage to get a loaf of bread in the breadmaker, another 6 lbs of strawberries in the dehydrator, and dumped my compost bucket into the compost pile. We will have strawberries forever!
We drove around the neighborhood on the Harley checking out garage sales this morning. We didn't find anything we needed, but it was overcast, relatively cool, and a nice morning for a ride. We came home and had an early lunch because we didn't eat breakfast.
I have everything I need for the sweet potato chips. MAYBE I will get them done tomorrow. If not, they will have to wait for Monday. Sunday we are riding the Harley to the beach and seeing MIL and hubby's grandmother for Mother's Day.Mary
