    Default this would come in as dehydrating

    this spring when things started to go green i was out in the fields and woods foraging -what for-morel mushrooms and ramps (wild leek family) in the woods and wild onion/garlic to dehydrate the mushrooms i vacuumed packed for soups and the ramps dried till the crumbled in hand for soups too (only use a little-very strong) and the wild onion/garlic i just harvested the tops and dried them the same way but when they were dri i added thyme.oregano,rosemary and sage with some black pepper and garlic powder made my own seasoning and it to use a little as wild is always stronger than domestic

    Your post reminded me of my grandmother -- she used to forage like you do! I wished I'd spent some time learning about it from her, but I was a little kid then and there were Barbie dolls to be played with...

    whats a barbie grannie always made us girls corn-shuck dolls we never needed anything store bought she even made cloths for our dolls--- sigh wish she was still around
