    Default frozen casseroles

If you were going freeze a broccoli & rice casserole or a hash brown casserole would you bake before freezing or wait to bake when you are ready to eat it? Have you tried both ways and which is best?

    Hi Piney!

Making casseroles ahead ( ie lasagna, manicotti, stuffed peppers, broccoli and rice ) are a few I make and always assemble, freeze and bake when I take out of freezer. They taste just made and work best for me that way.

    Your casseroles sound delicious!

    I'd freeze, then bake.

I freeze, then bake as well. I made a ton of different casseroles to freeze about a year ago before I had ankle surgery. All of them turned out well using the freeze, thaw a bit, then bake method - even though my fiancee was doing the cooking.
