Default adding color protector to peaches?

well, I bought my peaches, have everything out, jars ready to go in teh dishwasher - I'm going to start tomorrow night.
REading up on it, it says to add a color protector to peaches - does anyone do this? do I need to go buy some? I have never added it to my applesauce and that turns out fine.

    opinions?

You need to add something like fruit fresh or Asorbic Acid. I helps the peaches not turn dark. The peaches are still fine if dark, just not as pretty.
