Organized my Gift Wrap
Well, it was already organized...sort of.

I had a flat wrapping paper organizer that goes under beds, but the problem is, I don't wrap in the bedroom. I wrap on the counter in the basement. However, I've never been able to actually find one of those stand-up wrapping paper containers (I've been dying for one for years). So, today, I bit the bullet and just bought a tall, white trash can. I also bought a Sterilite 3 drawer system. I took all of my paper out of the laying down thingy and put them upright in the garbage can. Then I took all of my gift bags that were being stored in other gift bags on top of the laying down paper holder thingy and put the large ones in the big, bottom drawer of the system, put the smaller bags in the middle, smaller drawer, and then all of my tape and tissue paper in the top, smallest drawer. I put the can and the drawers next to each other and they slid beautifully into a little, out of the way nook I have between the basement stairs and the counter and then I slid some boxes in between them. It all fits beautifully, I threw away a bag of trash (ripped tissue, wrapping paper wrappers, torn bags, etc.), and I'm pleased! I think I'll freecycle the older holder because I really have no use for it.My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

Good for you. It always feels good to accomplish something. For me, the hard part is keeping it organized.

Good for you. I bought a large canvas wrapping paper holder with the zip top for bows and tape, and a smaller canvas holder for gift bags and tissue paper. I found them both at an after Christmas sale. I was so excited to finally have that stuff organized. Now I know exactly what I have and where it's at! What a relief!

Feels great dont it?!
I dont use much giftwrap throughout the year, mostly at Christmas. I bought one of these upright storage containers and its wonderful!! The rolls dont get bent or folded and it keeps everything dry!! The top flip portion is great for spare scissors & tape & bows. (http://www.rubbermaid.com/rubbermaid...d=HPProd260067)
I also have this under the bed type which I use to house the bags and other misc labels and wrapping items. (http://www.rubbermaid.com/rubbermaid...d=HPProd260068)
Both of these are stored in the garage which is easier for me to go get what I need vs lugging these containers in and out each time.2012: The Year Of The Purge!
