    Default My NAUGHTY puppy!!

Yesterday, Miss Bella(she's graduated to Miss, she's so prissy..lol) had her first hair cut. I invested in clippers and did it myself. With trimming required every 5-6 weeks through summer, they clippers will pay for themselves ina HURRY. So, of course after her bath, she got the royal spa treatment, wash, conditioned and blowdried. (she loves that..lol. spoiled puppy).

She's developped a liking to digging, as do many dogs, so i've set the timer for ever 2-3 minutes to I can catch her, or deter her. She's never sure when I'll turn up, so she just doesn't do it..lol.

So she's out this morning. I set the timer. Before the timer goes off, she's whining at the door. So I go check, it's raining, she's got such a fine coat I'm sure she's cold. THIS is what I find on my back stoop.

Like the dirty face??What you can't see is a 2" dot of mud behind her left ear and a 4 inch spot of mud on her right hip, not to mention the "fine mist" of mud all over!

So off to the tub we go, I just sprayed her off as it hadn't dried. it was pouring out. Thankfully at this point in her life her coat is still fine and does dry fast. But couldn't she have waited at least 2 days before getting filthy??

OMG, she reminds me of my old Bishon. She is so cute! I use to groom my dogs hair too. Sometimes should would run under the couch like she was mad or embarressed and sometimes she would run and prance all around the house! lol Of course get way dirty the minute after I groomed her. grr.

You can save dollars grooming yourself. I think back then it was close to 30 something like every six weeks or so. What kind of doggie is that? Too cute and she looks prissy.

    She's a schnauzer/poodle cross.

I can get her groomed for $35 but it's a 20 minute drive there, so total of 1.5 ours driving and with theprice of grass! YIKES. In the city, they start at $50.

We are considering getting a second pup once she's a year old. Debating. She's so good..lol. Hate to ruin her with a truly naughty puppy. She's just a ham. our only complaint is digging. We're working on that. And that's a dog for ya. She's slept through the night since day one. She's housebroken after 3 days. So we're very blessed with her.

Bella is soooo cute....and no she is not just trying to make you mad, they just like to dig sometimes. It is fun for them (but frustrating for us). Lucy also likes to dig so I have to keep tabs on her....it is funny because when you tell her "no" she will also do a couple of twirlies before running off to find something else to get into.
