My cat is missing
I feel bad , it's my fault.
We had a BBQ on Saturday so I put all three of our cats in the Garage so no one would let them out of the house.
One of our cats was a rescue so she freaks out if anything is different. She doesn't like it all when new people come to the house or if we even try to do anything out of the ordinary with her. When she saw me putting the other two cats in the garage she ran and hid. I had to force her into the garage.
Well, when I went to get them back into the house only our friendly two came in. I thought she was hiding and would come out when she felt better so we just left the door going into the house open for her and went about our business. It's now Monday and we haven't seen her yet. She is defiantly not in the Garage.
How on earth did she get out and the other two didn't? All the doors were locked ( I bolted the door so one could accidentally open it ). Dear God I hope I don't find her dead under the Dryer or something.
Why didn't I just leave her in the house? She wouldn't have done anything but hide under my bed all day.

she may still be in the garage. I had a cat hide INSIDE a cast iron tub. No, not inside the tub but she found a way thru the closet for the plumbing access and got herself underneath the tub surround. She came out when she was ready and not a moment before.
Try sitting water and food out in the garage for your lost one. If it gets nibbled on you know she is safe but afraid.

I would put food and water in there too. I would try moist food, mine seem to like that the best, it might lure her out quicker

I am so sorry she is missing. We have a cat that freaks out like that, too. If we so much as move a chair across the room, he has a spastic fit and hides. I know our is really good at hiding. Maybe your baby is too. I agree with the idea of putting out food and water. Especially if there is a treat she really loves. Our cat adores shredded cheese. The only way I have gotten him to come out of hiding before is to shake the container of cheese and yell "Cheese!!! Jack Jack want cheese?!?". Does your cat have a treat she adores that you could try to coax her out with?
Sending up an extra prayer and positive thoughts for you all.DD (19)

I am so sorry to hear about your cat. Hopefully she is still hiding in the garage.

She doesn't have any special treats but maybe some tuna. I'm worried because if she did really get out she would be to scared to find her way back. Poor thing will just hide under something and not move a muscle. I also worry because we have a lot of stray cats around here that could harm her.

oh dear.
if its ANY consolation.
Cat's have a short term memory.
She'll forget why she was hiding.
poor little thing.
food out- she'll be around. Do you hear her whining anywhere? Do the other cats cry or meow looking for her?
Can you ask your guests if ANYONE let the cat out?

We used to have one that would hide a lot. He once hid in the basement for two days. I'll think positive thoughts and hopefully your little one will come out of hiding soon.

she usually come running when you use the electric can opener on tuna? Maybe you can give it a try there in the garage.
I too think it's probably still in there.~*Darlene*~

Sorry she went into hiding. Try warming something fishy and put it outside for her to smell. That's how I get my wayward kitty to come home.
Keep up posted!

good news
Dh found her when he got home. She was behind the washer. She fought him all the way but he won and got her back inside. I don't think I will do that to her again.
LOL Now he is in the back yard chasing our 30 pound tabby. You wouldn't think a cat that large could run very fast but he can! LOL
Pour kitties they all want to go outside so bad lately but we have never let them. They are all 10 yrs old and never been outside I don't see any reason to start now.
Thanks for the well wishes I was really starting to worry about her.
