    Unhappy We lost our cat...

We think he got out (he was an indoor cat) sometime late yesterday afternoon but didn't realize he was missing until last night. We've looked all around the house and outside and I was hoping that he would show up sometime today, but no such luck. He has a collar with tags and a microchip on, so hopefully someone will call. I'm off to put up signs around the neighborhood now. I just can't imagine where he could be.

I'm sorry to hear that! Luckily you took the precaution of microchipping him, so hopefully he'll be back with you soon! Sending you some good vibes and hugs.

I'm sorry to hear that Sometimes cats just disappear for a day or more, they'll never tell you where they went or what they've been up to. It's a secret. I hope he comes wandering back when hungry like nothing ever happened and doesn't escape again.

If he is not home in the morning, it might be a good idea to go to the animal shelter and look for him. Take a picture too. Go and look yourself, don't just call. They don't keep animals very long at some shelters. I hope he is home soon.

Hopefully he'll come home after he's been on 'walk about'.

Thanks, guys. Frugal Nurse, we only have a family photo with my daughter holding him. (It's in my album in the gallery.) We actually adopted him from the animal shelter about nine months ago so I'm planning on giving them a call tomorrow. I know that cats often wander off for awhile and then come back, so I'm hoping you're right , PrairieRose.

I'm so sorry you are going through this stress. One of mine disappeared for 3 days one time and I eventually found that he was just hiding out and pounting under the sofa. He came out to eat and use the catbox, but was not to be seen by humans - then he got over whatever had bothered him and was fine, but I was so scared that he had gotten shut into something that I kept all the closet and cabinet doors open and even checked all the drawers in the house - must of looked funny if there was a fly on the wall watching!

OH, I know the stress you are going thru right now. Hugs to you. Ceasar has gotten out lots of times and he hangs around the back yards of us and our neighbor scoping things out. I'm sure he hears me calling and just lays there snickering at me. He usually comes home after a day or two.

My indoor cat has gotten out several times and he has always returned, thank God. I hope your cat does the same.

I'm so sorry Michelle, I hope he comes home soon!

I just said a prayer to Saint Anthony, the patron saint of lost animals, for you.
