Default The animals are getting COLD around here!

I live in the SF bay area so it definitely doesn't get as cold here as it does for many of you. It has been about 50 degrees (give or take a few) this week at night. We currently don't have any heat in the house. Or heater is broken and we haven't replaced it. I want to try to get by this whole winter without turning on a space heater.

Our two dogs sleep in bed with us at night. The little one has been snuggling up by my neck at night. The bigger one has also been sleeping touching either me, my husband, or both of us, this is something he usually doesn't do. When it gets a little colder, I'll start putting fleece pj's on the little one.

Anyone else's animals getting cold lately?

My kitties are cold too. I had to take one off the bed to make it yesterday and when I flipped the blankets over the bed another one flew out of the balled up blanket. She make a tunnel in the blankets. I made the bed over her so she'd be warm. Stayed there most of the day. I guess going from the 60's to the low 30's in 24 hours wasn't to their liking either even though they don't go outside.

My dogs are indoor/outdoor, so they've been adjusting. They ARE, however, getting wet every time they go outside, as it has been raining since last night!

My 17 year old cat is having some problems, at night she lays in front of her 'fireplace' which is her favorite space heater.

The other 4 are in on our bed, under the covers etc.

The outside cats are aready sleeping in their little 'dog houses' which have clean straw in them. So they are getting cold already.
