Puppies!!
I get to foster two seven-week-old Shepherd mix pups! I need my puppy fix!
(I foster for the county animal control, so these little guys need a place to stay until they are old enough to neuter.) I love the puppy-fostering! Nothing smells quite so wonderful as a warm puppy.

Yes, one time they gave me SIX!! I am only getting two this time, which is much easier for me. Potty-training puppies, when you have to get them down a flight of stairs, is NOT an easy task!

I am really looking forward to picking them up tomorrow. I was supposed to get two at Christmas, but they were all fostered out before then, and I was told it wasn't necessary for me to take any. But they called me today because apparently, two of the puppies were possible Christmas presents that got rejected.

Aww, I love puppies!! I would love to foster, but I would have such a hard time giving them up when they are old enough.
I fostered kittens once and ended up adopting two of the four!

I am kinda/sorta looking for a third dog, but not seriously. I have fostered EVERYTHING for over ten years now, including an iguana, several parrots, a kitten or two, more dogs than I can count, pigs (both pot bellied and farm), bunnies, and a family of dwarf hamsters, and the only ones that I adopted were my two canine buddies, Riley and Chewy. Basically, because they were considered "unadoptable" for various reasons. But they have been wonderful (except Riley is WAY too smart for his own good), and I'm not in a rush to get a third. It would just be nice to have a dog that I can let run around the house without worrying about him: a) digging out; b) chasing chickens; c) killing my goats. Riley gets a failing score on all three, btw. Chewy won't actively do any of those things, but he is happy to tag along with Riley while Riley does the dirty work.

Puppies are so cute. I love them while they are little, but I always hated potty training them.

Oh, I LOVE Puppies! I love their little puppy bellies and that puppy smell! I lived in a house that we had to go downstairs to go outside, The puppy would go down the stairs and pee at the bottom of the stairs if I didn't see her go down there, so I put a baby gate at the top of the stairs and when I saw her standing by the baby gate, down we went and no more accidents in the house!

Here are some pics. I have one camera-shy pup, so no good pics of her. The other one is a little ham, so several of her!
