    Default having cats spade

    i just called the local vet to make an appointment for my 2 little girl kittys to be spade and just about had a heart attack $167.00 EACH AND $76.00 EACH to give them their shots they keep saying how animals should be neutered or spade and i totally agree but i can see why some dont

    There are plenty of Animal Society groups that will provide low cost spade/neuter certificates for a donation. I used them to get my pets done. Check in your area for one.

    I hear ya on the cost. But it's lots cheaper than the health problems from not being spayed/neutered. It's also cheaper than a litter of kitties every 6 months.

    see if there is another vet where you live and compare prices but in the end have it done

    I just had my female spayed for $85.oo and then they charged me $15 extra because she was pregnant!!!!! I too, wish it was cheaper...more people would do it instead of letting the kitty have litter after litter....

    If you call your local animal shelter they can provide information on any low cost spay/neuter programs in your area. Also, at least here, I've found that large animal vets (the ones that do house calls for horses, cows, etc) usually will charge much less for regular spay/neuters than an office that specializes in smaller pets.
