Default My puppy is a barrel of laughs!

Gizmo is such a little card. This morning while eating, she dropped a mouth full of food into her water dish. This became great fun, as she was bobbing for the food(which sits at the bottom of the dish). She was blowing bubbles in the water while grabbing the food! She is very funny.

She went for her shots, she's 8.8 lbs at 4.5 months. Bella was 13.5 lbs at that age! And the breeder expects that Gizmo will be the bigger dog. I dunno..lol. Nearly 5 lbs difference at the same age? If it's the same growth pattern as Bella, Bella gained 5 lbs in 1 year, she's 18 lbs. That would make Gizmo 13 lbs if she grows the same. Which is fine by me, one bouncing spaz is enough. She can clear a 4 foot gate! Giz is shorter in the leg, but she CAN jump quite well, so I don't want her tall..lol

Dh built a pen in the backyard for them. With the daycare, it's a lot of work to find all the doggie bombs everytime I go out. So this was a great solution. It's 10 feet by 24 feet..... and 6 feet tall! People are going to thin we have dobermans..lol. But as I said, Bella can get over the 4 feet... with chainlink there's foot holds so it was be even easier. But they are enjoying it, Bella after 2 days runs a lap or two around the yard and goes straight to the pen to do her business. They still get to play with us in the yard, but for general outside time, it's the pen.

I think we're making good progress on the housetraining, Gizmo had regressed after bella had surgery, I think it's cause everytime Gizmo when to the door, she sits silently, but Bella being a little competitive was at the door making a racket, so they went out. But with Bella convalescing, there was no noise. We did the kennel training. But she still doesn't ask with noise at the door. I do notice she goes to the door, and when she's pacing if I ask her if she needs to go out she runs to the door. I might need to find her a bell and train her to ring the bell, because she is so quite, even if she's scratching at the door, she's very quiet, Bella jumps and rattles the doorknob..lol. So we might need to set something up for her.

I just love puppies........wish they didn't have to grow up.
