    This isn't the first time that I have heard of a female doing this. A friend had a female that did that too. Would use the litter box okay plus do this. Ruined most of her furniture.

    There is something at the health food store called clomicalm.......one for cats and one for dogs. I have used the one for dogs. Not tried the one for cats. Don't know if you would want to try this or not......might not solve the peeing problem. It is for treating anxiety.

    My heart goes out to you having to make a decision like this. It sounds like you have really gone through a lot of effort to try to adapt her. Not sure that the peeing problems would be fixed by the anti-anxiety pills though; I think that may be more an issue of marking things than it is anxiety. {{hugs}}

    Aww, I am so sorry. This just makes my heart break and makes me angry at the same time because people don't get their pets fixed! All animals are so precious. They are so loyal to their owners. Saying a prayer for you to be strong during this difficult decision.

    Thanks for the support and letting me get it out everyone. After a long conversation with the vet Mon night and yet another Tues morning and Tues afternoon we put her to sleep with a very heavy heart.

    I feel so darn guilty. The vet said I shouldn't as we had exhausted all options with her issues and she was barely tame so not adoptable. He also stated someone who took her might just toss her out in the cold or abuse her due to her issues. He said most people wouldn't have put up with it 2 months let alone working with her over 2 years. It really didn't make it any easier.

    I got a nice parting gift from her as I put her in the kennel to go. A few bites on my hand. Hurts like heck. I feel guilty every time the darn swelling from the bites throbs.

    I'm spending today scrubbing the dog beds, some carpet, the leather sofa again and a few other places she went in the last few days I didn't catch right away

    My oldest son buried her with our other pets that have died of old age over the years. I am very grateful he volunteered to do it before dh got home. Dh will put the marker on tonight.

    I told dh I will keep feeding those strays as they show and catch them and haul them if for shots or even a spay or neuter if they stick around but I am done taking them in the house. I lucked out with the other strays I took in because they were very young. She was an adult. I don't ever want to go through feeling this guilty and lousy again over a decision like this.
