I think my kitty cat might be dead
I know here in the US some argue rather or not to keep cats indoor or outdoor...She loved the outdoors so I wasn't going to keep her from that and also she only wanted me to pet her and she only responded to me and she was super shy. She only warms up to certain people.
It's been 5 days now and she never showed back up on my deck. I feel like a horrible animal parent because I know better than to let them outdoors. She did fine about my 7 years of taking care of her. I rescued her!
She always comes home when I call for her. *really cries*

Oh, Palooka, I am so sorry. Be sure to check at Animal Control, just in case. She might have been caught and taken there. They are required to keep the animal a certain number of days, in case the owner shows up.

Again, big hugs...I don't know what to say except maybe she will still show up. I know you've scoured the neighborhoods. Man, don't know what to say. Fingers crossed.

I hope that you find your kitty! I just wanted to let you know that we had a cat that went in and outdoors and once or twice a year she would be nowhere to be found. No matter the calling or scouring of the surrounding neighborhood, she was AWOL. Then when she was good and ready she would come home. Two weeks was the longest that I can remember her being gone for. We, of course, thought that we'd never see her again while, she was just out carousing, actually after the 2 week stint she came back pregnant(we thought she was spayed)!
She too was a rescue and lived to be the ripe old age of 22!
I hope your kitty comes home soon!

I'm so sorry! I hope she comes home and I agree, go and check at your local shelter just in case she was picked up!

Don't give up.......and don't give up hope....keep looking. Call the shelters and check with neighbors to see if they have seen her.
Miracles happen.......my cousin had a cat and they 'think' a neighbor carted the cat off........who knows where as he disliked cats. They had even gotten another cat.....and no kidding......THREE YEARS LATER....one morning the cat is outside meowing telling them that he is hungry just like he always did.....like he had only been gone overnight! (we always wished that cat could talk!)

Hugs! Hope she comes home soon! My indoor only declawed cat got out 14 years ago and was gone a week. He showed up crying at the door like he had just left.

I hope your kitty comes home. Check around you house outside really carefully. When I was a kid the cats were allowed outside during the day and brought inside at night. Well one of the cats did not come inside. I went around the neighborhood with my friends looking for her. It had been a couple of days. My brother ended up finding her in the garage hiding. Turns out she was probably hit by a car. Luckily after a visit from the vet she was fine.

We had one that would disappear for weeks and come back smelling like wood smoke. We think she had a second home somewhere. someone had dumped her off and was kinda wild. I could get her close enough to eat for me and you could smell the smoke. Don' t give up. They are remarkable creatures

sorry
outdoor cats and animals loose do that
hang in there, there might be hope. if not know you did a great time with the cat
I never had cats indoors. I hate animals in my home. But only once did one not come back or was lost or was taken or "whatever"---you feel the loss but I know that cat lived extremely well while I had him--like yours!
