Introducing...
RADAR! He is a senior Chihuahua (somewhere between 7-12 yrs old) that i have been working with at the shelter for two months. He has come to live with us and our other critters.
He is TINY. He was a stray that was sooo skittish it took our ACO six weeks to catch. When she finally DID catch him, he was more dead than alive. You could see all of his ribs and his backbone stuck up. We put a pound on him at the shelter and he really needs to gain another pound.
Right now, he is wearing a sweater. Funny--I never thought I would shopping for doggy clothes. He has NO body fat and very, very short fur, so he really DOES need sweaters!
Gypsy is doing fine with him. The cats are in a snit, but they will get over it!

What a wonderful thing you did. Radar now has a safe and warm home and I'm sure he will put on some additional weight soon.

Hello and a head pat to Radar.
Good for you for taking him in.....very kind.
He sounds almost as bad as Oreo (the white one in the pic)...but it didn't take them that long to catch him. He weighed three pounds.

spoiled with love.
I think from your description of his *previous" life that you
are just what the doctor ordered!!
Post some pics when you can!!You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need.

Love the name! I fostered a Radar once, and he was one of my favourite.

I second the "pics" request.

I can't seem to get the pictures to post, so go to my Flckr account--npllori--and check him and Gypsy out!
He is really blossoming. He has this sort of hoarse bark--sounds like he's a smoker. It's hilarious but I am soooo glad he doesn't have one of those high pitched yaps. He doesn't bark much, just to "help" Gypsy when a "bad guy" comes to the door. He also just loooves people.
