What is oddest sound your pet makes?

Had a cat once that barked. Yes, barked. The people who gave her to me told me she barked. Which I thought, barked yea right. So on the first night she was with me she must have been scared. And she started barking. All I could think of in my half sleep was that dog is going to get me in trouble with the neighbors. Then it dawned on me, oh no that is my cat I don't own a dog.

My cat now will open her mouth to talk and all that comes out is a mutted squeak. She can yell very loudly though.

Another cat would do the reverse sneezing that some dogs do. My vet even said he had never seen a cat do that but some do. Fortunately this was solved when diet was changed to organic food. Only reason I knew it was a reverse sneezing was because a boston terrier we had growing up would do this.

So what about you? Any odd sounds coming from your pets?

A friend had a cat that made bird sounds! She did it to LURE birds closer to her so she could catch them. It worked too!

My cat would make a sound like a low bark. She didn't know how to hiss like a cat should. She didn't like kids either and out let out this sound when one was to close to her..She didn't know that she wasn't a dog

My oldest cat cries like a little baby. I mean it sounds more like a whine a toddler would make. It's not even a real meow.

He does this when he wants something. It's really cute.

My one dog snorts like a horse, and the other dog has this howl that's...well, it sounds kind of like a moose braying.

One of my dogs sounds like a sea gull when he whines/howls. He also does a REALLY good imitation of the fire truck sirens when it goes by our house lol.

All of my Maine Coon cats chirp. It's a kind of purr/meow mix. So cute!

And all our cats make that bird sound...especially when they see a bird or squirrel out the window. It's funny as heck!

My cat 'chatters' ... I don't know what else to call it.

She sits perfectly still. opens her mouth a bit, and through clenched fangs makes a 'chattering teeth' sound... but she never moves her mouth!

My beagle can "oink" like a pig. She also does the reverse sneezing too. We had a cocker spaniel that could quack like a duck, it was the funniest thing!
