Default Kitty is at the vet

Just came back from dropping my cat at the vet. I think she has a urinary infection. She has been in the litter box frequently the past few days however I have not been scooping out a lot. Then today I caught her urinating on some clothes on the floor. Luckily I was going to throw them out. Later on I saw her urinating on one of her cat beds. So the last time she was in the kitty litter I made her get out before she could cover anything up. Well, there was nothing to cover up. So after arguing a little with the vet tech brought her in and she is staying overnight and hopefully they will get a sample to test.

Am grateful that my neighbor was able to take us to the vet. A friend of mine will take me to pick her up. Thanks for listening. It is probably just a urinary infection. Hope it is not some behavior problem. Hopefully will know tomorrow what is going on.

I hope your kitty gets well soon and it isn't anything serious. We have 2 dogs and they are my babies.

There is litter that turns color when they have an infection. You sprinkle some when you suspect kitty is having troubles. Ask your vet, they should have told you about it. Would have saved $$$. Hope everything turns out well. I sure love my guys.

I hope your kitty will get better quick! My kitty let me know by peeing in the bathtub, in front of me, and it was all blood. Scared me to death. Glad you caught her, and got her to the vet!! I'm sure she will be fine.

Yep, that's pretty much how my cats have let me know something was wrong.

One of my cats peed blood a few times on my daughters bed and took her to the vet asap.

shoiji, hope your kitty is okay.

Cat food is a huge thing when it comes to kitties and urinary infections.

Well, believe it or not I switched her cat food to organic cat food so not sure if that is the problem. Just called the vet and apparently she has gone to the bathroom yet at 10:00 am. They told me to call around 2:00 pm

When I got home I was holding her sister. Well the sister apparently does not like being held when I close the curtain. All I remember seeing is a gray and white paw flashing around then was scratched on the face. But now she is sitting happily on my lap as I type.

Will be happy when this is all over.

Hope everything is going ok with your girl, I hate when they have to stay overnight.

Apparently they had to take a sample from her since she wouldn't do this on her own. The results from the sample will be in tomorrow morning. The tech vet said it looked like she had an infection but they have to wait for the results to be sure. Right now we are locked up in the bedroom so I can keep an eye on her. When I go to bed will put her in the bathroom. Just in case she decides to not use the litterbox.

She is acting fine and seems glad to be home.
