Default I got a rattie yesterday!!!

Woo hoo! I have liked 2 years to long without my favorite pet, a rat! I got a rattie from a breeder yesterday. His name is Wall-e. I am picking up his 2 playmates in 3 weeks when they are old enough to come home. Its really nice having a rat back in my life...I can't even explain it!

    So pictures!!!!

Cute! Not a big fan of rodents but they are cute when they're someone else's pet

I got two rats in November and unless you own one (or two) you just don't get it.

I surprised myself at how attached I've become to these things.

When ever I tell anyone I get thesame reaction "Rats...really? you have rats?".

    Enjoy your new pets!

our neighbor used to have some and he loved them, I just can't seem to attach to them.

I think they would be fun to have. Unfortunately, our apartments are ok with dogs, cats, fish, birds -- somehow I think they would draw the line at rats. Rats get no respect. Not even in Harry Potter!

They are really intellegent and fun! When I was working in an afterschool program we had some. One little guy would ride on my shoulder, just under my hair. He never, ever went potty on me. The kids would take wooden blocks and build mazes for the rats. I would have one now, but my dh is a health inspector and just cannot abide a rodent in the house.

Awww, he is so cute! He looks a lot like my son's rat, Oreo. His is a female. I had rodents as pets as a kid. My daughter has a shiny orange mouse but she is more shy than the rat. My son's rat loves people. Hopefully your rat will get along with his playmates as he gets older. Most male rodents are territorial and will fight. Congratulations on your new pet.

Congrats on your lil furball. I had hamsters and one guinea pig when I was little. A few years ago I had a ferret. I'd like to own one again. Ferrets are awesome pets, although they get into EVERYTHING. I carried him around my parents house and my mom's dog thought it was a toy and wanted to play with it but I never let her lol.

hmmm....no thanks. Just not happening on this end. But glad you're happy with it. Will the landlord be ok with a rat or 3 moving in?
