    Default My dog was pregnant

    and we didn't know!! She started having pups this afternoon. I think shes done so I want to change her bedding but not sure. Shes caring for them but I am afraid they are too cold. Any suggestions or help is appreciated!

    Yes she is inside we cleared out the closet under the stairs for them. Shes had 7 as of 6:30 its 8:43 now and I just don't know if shes done. I want to get them all on clean bedding and off the wet.

    I would think she is done now. Maybe just throw some blankets or towels down if you have some. Momma can be pretty smart and will relocate the pups if she doesn't like the area. (I think, but I'm not the dog whisperer. )

    ETA, call your vet in the morning.

    Yes, I would just put some clean, warm blankets down for her. If they are inside I should think they would be okay.........guessing it is warm part of the house.

    What kind of dog? Didn't she gain any weight?

    I would go online and see what you have to watch for after they give birth..............make sure she passed the afterbirth and stuff like that......what to watch for with her feeding them and etc. She will also probably need some sort of special diet while she is nursing.............you need to find that out.
