Marking his spot
Has anyone had any success on breaking a male dogs habit of marking. He was recently fixed and has slowed his pace. He is about 1.5 years of age

Is this in the house or outside? I don't understand why it would be a problem outside.
We have had FIXED male dogs for many years and they all mark their spot.Russ

GRRRR.......it is a problem for my male outside as he has decided to 'mark' on a couple of my plants!!!
He could be more than fixed if he keeps it up!! My other male was trained to not pee on my plants. This one will be too.........or else!
CTHY---if you just had him fixed it takes awhile for the hormones to get out of their system but that won't stop some of the 'male habits'. If outside, just stay 'after him', and watch him---be sure to praise him when he goes where you want him to. If inside
.......good luck.....start over, be CONSISTENT on the training.
