My two dogs are in their kennels..........so they are mighty glad to see me.

Muff has to circle one chair and zoom into the kitchen to see if I brought any FOOD home! Too much effort for Oreo.......he just follows me to the door to be let out!

Pulling into garage: Yapper Lhasa dog barks incessantly. I wait in car until she shuts up. Just takes a minute and then for whatever reason she wont yap like that once I'm in the house.

Open door to house from garage: Bloodhound bays pitifully a mournful OWOOOOOO at me. I call out to them HI GUYS but don't let them out yet. (they are baby-gated from living room when I'm gone) I put my stuff away, they spaz out amongst themselves, tails wagging, heavy breathing and snuffling excitement, running up and down the stairs of the basement.

When they've settled a bit, I put them all in a SIT before opening baby-gate and dog door, they can choose to run out to potty or into living room to frolick. They then tear around the house like psychos but nobody gets petted until they settle down. I go about the house getting dinner, cleaning up, talking but not petting. Then when they're done with the Happy Dance and I've gotten my stuff done I go out back and play fetch with them, or to the basement to play fetch if its raining.

In a big rush, say I just needed to grab money and go, I open the dog door immediately but don't let them out the baby-gate nor do I wait for them to settle down since they're just running outside anyhow and I'm leaving.

Yah, I suck at this money stuff, I know. That's why I'm here.
