How do your pets act when you come home?
My cat wants to be let in or out " No biggie, you're home, big whoop, give me food, head rub and let me be"
Dog is a major fruitcake. We have to shut off the car and quickly get to the door because he's whimpering like mad, getting more & more excited. "OMG they are home! They are home!!!!" runs to us, runs outside, runs back to us, runs around the garden, runs to us, runs around yard all at top speed, finds a bush, does his thing and then back to us. The whole time you can hear him breathing heavily. OMG! OMG!. Gone 10 min or 4 hours you get the same greeting. Nice to be loved, lol.~*Darlene*~

My dog couldn't wait and would get in the car with me.
Thomas is a different story. If I have been gone for just a few hours he doesn't even acknowledge that I just came in or that I have been gone.
If I have been gone for the weekend, he wants his milk (he usually gets a little every morning) and then maybe to be petted.
For the most part, he just treats me like a roommate.total debt: $23977.09 updated 04/02/11

Our dogs get super excited because they love us and missed us.
Our cats don't notice unless they're hungry. If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

We have 2 dogs and we usually keep them outside in our yard when we are gone (weather permitting). When they see the car our lab runs around like crazy and our beagle just goes to the door and sits. Once they come inside they both are jumping around and trying to give us kisses. I love coming home to my furbabies, they always make me feel special!

Mocha (17 year old cat) usually is asleep and unaware of anything. The only exception is when we are on vacation. FIL tells us when he arrives for his daily visit to feed her and hold her for a couple of hours she is usually walking around the house, looking and crying for him.
Jack (5 year old crazy cat) sometimes needs a little love, depending on the season. In the summer and spring he is a typical cat, only wants the occasional rub. But in the fall and winter he decides he needs to be in our laps, under the covers with us or wants extra kisses. You can tell he is happy in the cooler months to have our warm bodies home with him.
Frannie (fat Jack Russell) goes NUTS. She looks out the door (solid glass front door she looks out while we are gone) as we pull up, jumps on us, sniffs us, follows her daddy until he rubs her, grabs a toy from her toy box, tail wags and a look of complete bliss comes over her face. And if we bring her a box to rip open, she is ecstatic. She trots off with her box, head held high, booty sashaying, chest poked out - a look of nothing but joy because she has her favorite peeps home and a box to destroy.
Hunter (Weimaraner) may or may not get up and look out the door. When we come in he wants a little head rub, a kind word and then he gets back on his bed.DD (19)

These stories have me grinning! They (pets) drive us nuts sometimes but they ask for so little, love unconditionally & make us smile from the inside-out.

When DH comes home, our dog gets really excited; her whole body wags. When I come home its "oh, its you" and she goes back to sleep.
But then, I'm the one who gives baths; DH gives treats. I take her to the vet; he takes her for walks.

Usually the skinny cat greets me at the stairs. Cries for me to pet her and say hello then raises up the stairs. When I leave I can sometimes hear her meowing at the door, especially when she know I am outside.
The fat one will look down the stairs. But if she is hungry will greet me and continue to yell until I feed her. Which is until 8:00pm.
But if they are really tired and sleeping they MIGHT look at me when I walk by them when I get home.

Darlene, that's cats for you

Our mini poodle is beside himself with joy and excitement. He runs around, in and out the door, jumps around wanting attention, etc. You'd think we'd been gone for a week.

Lacy.. always greets me at the door jumping all over me excited.
Hilda... She's down the hall, got a toy in her mouth growling (her way of playing)
Dutch... he's own the opposite side of the counter, just sitting. I think he waits to see if I'm going to be yelling for something somebody did. Once I use my happy voice, he's jumping on me wagging his tail trying to knock me down.Russ

My beagle makes a bark like Bowp, bowp, bowpbowp.
and DD's dog growls and barks at the other 2 pushing her way to the front. My sheperd is the best behaved and just greets w/ her nose. They are all too old to jump up. Thank goodness.
Our cats do pay attention but wait until the dogs settle before moving in.

One cats runs to the car if she is outside. Another cat goes towards the car, but she is really skittish and doesn't come near us (too much hubbub when we arrive home). The other three couldn't care a less if we are there or not just as long as they have food.

My saint acts like a dog on crack. You know cats stretch forward with the legs, well my dog does that but scrapes her claws on the floor like its some kind "Oh my gosh they are home must bow down"
Then she comes up to faces away from you and sits on top of your feet.If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal. Not to
people or things.
