Meet Molly
Meet Molly, the newest addition to our family. She is a creme/champagne colored labradoodle with some hints of apricot on her coat. Sweet as can be and is fitting in nicely with our 17 year old german shepherd Finnigan. Of course, here is it almost 1 a.m. and we're up doing puppy play time! LOL

This is her on the second half of her 3 hour car ride today. She was looking kinda sad, but she had just left her mommy and daddy.

She is so pretty. I hope she adjusts easily for you. I wouldn't recommend too many late night play times though.... she will come to expect them (ask me how I know). LOL

Thanks Ceashels......she was just SO excited all night, but she's been getting used to things very well. The only thing she hasn't done yet is bark. She did sleep a little with me, but I had to send her out to potty all night (every 2 hours or so) because she kept having accidents. I'm going to have to read up again on potty training!

Congrats on your new puppy. I have a five-year-old standard poodle (as part of my pack), and he's the very smartest one of the bunch. Housetraining anything with poodle in it should be EASY. Good luck!

OOwl.....I'm the one who needs the training on how to train her! LOL She seems extremely intelligent, too. She was the pick of the litter...the owners became attached to her and meant to keep her, but the wife had some surgery and couldn't spend much time with her.

Crate train her for the easiest time with housebreaking. How old is she? In short, simple terms: take her out immediately after meals, big play sessions, and upon waking up from a nap. Crate her when you can't watch her (like when making dinner) and at night. Yes, it's a lot of trips out to the chosen potty spot, but they learn quick. I keep small treats by the door and grab on on my way out to the chosen spot. Choose a word or phrase that means "go potty" and reward the minute she does it, followed by house freedom when she comes in "empty" and safe. Poodles are especially quick to house train. Good luck to you! She looks delightful.
