I just spent an hour trying to catch a Kitten

My Daughter and me just spent an hour trying to catch a kitten that was thrown from a car window on a VERY busy street. We found her/him under a car at a car repair place.... I went to pick her up and she took off running! She ran under a truck and disappeared. We looked everywhere! We got some people from inside the car repair place to evern help... she's just GONE! I guess God didn't want our family to save her, but it doesn't make either of us feel any better! I went back and looked and still couldn't find her.....

I hope god will take care of that little baby that couldn't be more that 5 weeks old AND THE DANG PERSON THAT TREATED HER SO BAD!

She's no where to be found ..... sbhe could have run anywhere and there are a TON of run off sewers..... I gave the guy at the carplace my number if he sees her

Poor thing!! People like that should be thrown out a moving car window and see how they like it!

I hope she/he turns up and you give her a home.

just a suggestion:

try putting a small humane trap out (the small ones are going to be the size range that would catch a squirrel, etc) -

bait the trap with smelly canned food, and either hang out at nigh and wait, or have the shop guys call you if they see you caught something.

those traps are GREAT!

We use them to trap feral cats behind resturants, but night time is the best time to go cat fishing

Still no kitten.... I'm wordering if maybe someone or something picked her up.... I will go back in the AM to see if I can find her... but I think she's gone.... Poor baby

I would hazard a guess that noone picked up the kitten yet - if you couldn't catch her, noone else would either -

maybe just give her a day to calm down, and then try.

Just came back again.... No Kitten.... The guy at the garage said maybe she ran in there and the alarm will go off if she did... and he will call me... I will check again tomorrow morning...

I already have 2 ferrels I caught a few years ago - they were 2 weeks old and from the sewer! I wish people would consider more than themselves... animals are NOT DISPOSABLE!

That is awful. Our ARL has after hours drop off box with food, water, a place for the animal to sleep and no way for the animal to get out.

Surely there has to be a better option than dropping a kitty out of a window.

people are just cruel, so mean. I hate mice but I make my husband take them out if the cats haven't tortured them to death.

Kitten saga continued........ No kitten this morning and she/he didn't set the alarm off either..... the good thing that I was praying for is that we didn't find her dead in the middle of the road. I went looking for another hour this morning... but no kitten! We can't leave food out being that we are in Florida and we have gators ( my other concern - since there is a retention pond not that far from where I first spotted her) I looked in bushes, under cars, behind mini walls, everywhere and no kitten! If I ever find her - her name probably would be Houdini! I am guessing that there was a higher power that had better plans for that baby! I have my fingers crossed that she is well.... I will still continue to look later... but I think she is GONE. There was a box truck at the car repair place that had a crawl hole up inside... they car dealer will contact the owner to open the box to see if maybe she ran up in there.. but I don't have my hopes up... I guess she just wasn't meant for me to have her
