From what I've read, Subway is claiming that it sponsored the award, but didn't know Vick would be selected. The counter-argument to Subway's argument is that Subway KNEW that he was one of the nominees and COULD be selected, and should have pulled its sponsorship out at that point.

One article I read says that Subway is claiming it is not going to sponsor next year's award because of the controversy, but it has not issued any kind of statement regarding its contribution to Vick's award.

I emailed BET and Subway, and I will be sending a letter to Nike today. I left a comment on Vick's FB page (which was promptly deleted) and also commented on the Subway and Nike FB pages. I am thinking about emailing GQ, since they are the ones who published the interview with him, but since I haven't read the article, I don't know if they slammed him or not. It irritates me that they even gave him press-time, though.

So far, the only response I have received is a generic msg from Subway saying that my question has been forwarded to the correct department for review.

Found this website and it has a list of contacts (including the team, the stadium, his manager, etc) to protest Vick. My fingers are going to be sore tonight.

Official Michael Vick Protest Website - Campaign to Sack Michael Vick, Boycott the NFL & NFL teams that allow Michael Vick or any felon to play, Boycott sponsors of the Michael Vick Project

(Note, some of the petition links are broken.)

Here are the team corporate sponsors (From Forbes, 9/2011 article):

. The Eagles also locked up their quarterback and NFL Comeback Player of the Year Michael Vick in a six-year, $100 million deal with $40 million guaranteed.

Major corporate sponsors are MillerCoors, Verizon Wireless, PepsiCo (nyse: PEP), Teva Pharmaceutical (nasdaq: TEVA), Sovereign Bank, Anheuser-Busch InBev (nyse: BUD), NovaCare, US Airways (nyse: LCC).
Naming rights sponsor is Lincoln National (nyse: LNC).

William Moore and Todd Herremans are my new best friends.

Quote from "Boston Herald" re Vick:

He left the game late in the third quarter when blitzing Falcons safety William Moore spun Vick into right tackle Todd Herremans. Vick’s head snapped back like a crash-test dummy.

There is nothing I can think of that would be bad enough to do to that jerk for what he did to those dogs, and his quotes and attitudes since prove that his only regret was getting caught. He is just as clueless as he was. The surviving dogs that have been adopted have been wonderful and loving companions, and some are still waiting for their forever homes! BestFriends has 3 or 4 of them ready for adoption, and they have passed their Canine Good Citizen test. BadRapKennels in CA has another one of two of the dogs, still waiting and hoping for homes! Most of the already-adopted dogs have their own pages on Facebook.
