    Default good thoughts and prayers needed

    for my little girl, ( her nickname is My) today is her 20th birthday and she is in the vets waiting for surgery. The vet found a growth at the back, top of her throat that is affecting her eating and breathing. Hopefully they can just clip if off and she will be ok. They can only give her a mild sedative because of her age. I dont even want to think about if its something else.

    He is the only vet she has had and he remembers when he saw her the first time, 20 years ago. She is our super spoiled Queen of the house. Its really hard sitting here waiting. Its strange how not having one cat can make your house so empty.

    We called at around noon to check on her, they ran a kidney and blood panel to make sure there were no other problems. I guess they came back ok, they are doing surgery sometime after lunch.

    Thanks for the prayers and postive vibes. This has been one long day, DH is even going crazy waiting. I bet Myia isn't too happy either.

    Well, we got her home at about 7:00 last night, she was still alittle dopey and Not in a very good mood. She slept 9 hours straight and feeling better today. We are joined at the hip today! ( of course I wouldn't have it any other way)

    Her surgery went well, he thinks it was a plugged salitory gland, so she had dry mouth all the time, he sent swabs out to be tested for cancer, we will find out later today.

    I'm really giving thanks on this one. The vet said she is in really good health for being so old. The only thing is that these things usually reoccur, so we will have to watch out for it.
