I know my pet is happy when ...

Well my cat has been more playful lately. Some times I forget to play with her and she seems to need to be played with. She does not initiate play alot.

But I can tell when she is excited and happy because she will start to talk alot and answer you when you ask her something. Or she will start purring and knead my leg.

So when do you know your pet is happy?

Anytime anyone comes in the door she's extremely happy.
When she has one of her chicken kabob treats. it's her most favorite thing in the world.
When you mention going for a walk or ride.
With any of these my dog shakes her rear end so fast you'd think she'd shake it right off.

When they gaze and smile at me. I love my dogs.

I know my dog Daisy is happy when she lays her head on my lap. We tend to cuddle on the couch . I know Shadow is happy when he's chasing the laser light...darned cat is addicted and Maple our other cat just always seems content...not so much happy but, content.
