Do you dress up you pet?
Well, there are times I like to put a shirt on my cat. Found a nice inexpensive pink rugby shirt. I think she actually likes it. She just went about her day like nothing was wrong. Took it off at night when I could not watch her just in case.
Anyone else dress up their pet. Do you think they enjoy it or just tolerate it.

I occasionally put sweaters on my Willow-woo, in fact she's wearing her favorite in my profile picture there. I think she likes it, since she makes it very easy for me to put them on her but extremely difficult for me to take them off

We have a yorkie and put a sweater or jacket on her on really cold days when she goes outside. She loves her sweater, and its a fight to get it off her when she comes in. it mats her hair if it's left on to long.

I never thought I would have dogs that I would dress up, but then I rescued greyhounds. They each have a fleece coat, a lighter fleece jacket, knitted sweaters, and flannel pajamas.

Greyhounds have no body fat and don't have an undercoat, so they get cold easily. Basically, if I need to a jacket outside, then so do they. They love getting dressed because it means they are going somewhere (except the pajamas, of course).
They also love to snuggle under blankets, so they like their pajamas, too (which only get used when we are in a cold snap since we always turn off the heat at night).
So, because they love their outwear, they are totally fine with Halloween costumes, which can be fun. I made my Mandy a cheetah costume for her first Halloween with us.
What's different about clothes for greyhounds than for other dogs is that I can't buy "off the rack" clothes. Most dog clothes are made for little dogs and even the bigger stuff just doesn't fit them since they are proportioned so differently. All of their clothes have been made custom for them by friends and family who can sew and knit.

I'll put a kerchief around their necks if we are going to a Sheltie function ... and I remember to do so. But they have such heavy coats on them already they don't need another layer.

I put a doggie sweatshirt on Toby my tough and manly toy poodle after he gets groomed in the winter. I think he hates it and it damages his self esteem. He slinks around and gets an embarrassed hang dog look. It's hilarious to watch. I know that sounds mean but I tell him that he has to work for his keep and entertaining us is one of his jobs. He usually has a cuss word or two for me... His favorite is "Schnook!"

Yes the entertainment value is always there. I have put a sweater on her which I know she did not like since she would walk backwards until it came off. This shirt she seems fine with.

My dog gets a sweater put on when it gets frigid out. He tolerates it & sometimes gets out of it.(: he's in his sweater in the picture below.

Nope, I don't dress mine up. The cat would probably kill me and the dog would rip it off and run and hide lol. I did get him a life jacket just in case we go on a boat. I would love a little chihuaha to dress up in dresses.

I did buy a sweater for my little yorkie mix a few years ago. He hated it. He is a sturdy little guy and will mess around forever in the snow if I let him. My kids informed me there was a name for people who dress their dogs up LOL

Well, the only thing from keeping me from being the crazy cat lady is a law in the town that I live that you can only have two cats. The entertainment value of seeing my cat in her shirt walking around is priceless. No, I would not leave it on her if she did not like it. Last night she even seemed more upset when I was taking it off.
